Monica Bauer is a wife and mother of three who lives in the Pacific Northwest. She is the creator behind the YouTube channel Because Jesus Bible Journaling and the Etsy store Because Jesus Bible Art. She shepherds the Facebook group Because Jesus Bible Journaling and would love to connect with you there. In addition, she offers workshops on Bible art journaling, hand lettering, journaling inside and outside the Bible, and connecting with God through creativity.

Monica’s Bible journaling journey began during a season of personal suffering in April 2016. Just as God promises to bring beauty from ashes, so Monica found new connection with God and His Word in the midst of her storm. Monica and her family had worked overseas for a number of years, during which she always wanted a greater hunger for the Word of God. As she began to interact with the Word creatively, through paints, pastels, lettering, and more, she found her hunger grew each day for the Bible.

In July 2016, Monica filmed her first YouTube video and embarked on a journey of surrender. From there, she has been along for the ride as the Lord has increased her ministry to thousands. The thing that continues to bless her the most are the stories of individuals, just like herself, who are falling more and more in love with the Word of God.
